Portrait of Sir Thomas Salusbury

This is a painting of Sir Thomas Salusbury. It gives much family history.
The young man holding the horse has the Salisbury family crest on his sleeve.

His wife is in "widows weeds" showing that the painting was completed after her husbands death. Notice the wedding band. He died several months after receiving injuries in an English Civil war battle. The sword is Turkish and popular at the time.

The image is on a porch at Lleweni.
